Clarification

 GUWAHATI, May 2: The Army has denied involvement of its official in the incident of alleged molestation to a woman at Kachugaon in Kokrajhar district. Referring to the news item--"Molestation slur on security officials"--published in The Sentinel on May 2, Defence PRO Lt Col Suneet Newton in a statement emailed to this newspaper today stated, "It is clarified that there was no involvement of the Army in either planning or conduct of the operation in Kachugaon. Since other security forces also were similar combat dress as Army, it appears to be case of mistaken identity."
