Clash Breaks out between Congress and BJP workers in Tezpur, 4 Injured

Tezpur: Tension prevails in Tezpur town after a clash broke out between the workers of Congress and BJP on Monday.

As per reports, the fight broke out between both the parties after a BJP candidate allegedly faced the defeat at the recent Panchayat elections in the state.

The fight broke between three workers of BJP identified as Ranjit Saikia, Deep Das, Sadananda Saikia and Ranjit Saikia for Congress. All of them were reported to be was injured and are being treated a nearby hospital.

It may be mentioned that several cases were lodged earlier by both Congress and BJP parties in connection with the alleged attack upon the party workers during the Panchayat Elections this year.

Meanwhile, the Congress party members, however, claimed that no stern action has been taken up the police in connection with the case.
