DHEKIAJULI, Dec 11: Under the aegis of Dhekiajuli Mahakuma garik Mancha, a mega cleanliness and educatiol awareness programme was held at the Laabari Middle English School premises on Monday afternoon.
On this occasion, an awareness meeting was held in which rayan Phoyel, the secretary of Dhekiajuli Mahakuma garik Mancha, explained the purpose of the meeting. In this meeting, several prominent academicians, teachers and other social workers spoke on the need of education for all and about the need and usefulness of cleanliness.
The main purpose to organize the drive was to spread awareness about cleanliness among the children. Through this campaign, the school students of Laabari LP School played the role of cleanliness ambassadors in the nearby areas and encouraged the locals to keep their surroundings clean. Bhagaban Baishya in his maiden speech said that considering the importance of cleanliness and inculcating the habit of cleanliness in children from a young age, it was necessary that every citizen of the country, including the children, should come forward to be part of the mega cleanliness drive.
