CM attends Gaon Panchayat Football fil

SIVASAGAR, Oct 21: Assam Chief Minister, Sarbanda Sonowal today graced as Chief Guest at the football fils of Antah Gaon Panchayat Football Tourment at Raichai playground at Demow in Sivasagar district.
Giving his Iugural address Chief Minister, Sonowal said that such tourments are a wonderful platform for budding talents in the state and the Assam Government is resolutely working to scout sporting talents from rural areas and providing them better platform for honing their latent talent. He added that people converge together to witness the game today which is in itself a proof.
Congratulating Thowra MLA Kushal Duwori for his initiative, the Chief Minister said that this endeavor will go a long way in nurturing and preparing the talents to participate in higher level of events and infuse professiolism in them in the long run.
Underlining Prime Minister rendra Modi’s initiative to create competitive sports environment in the country, Sonowal stated that the state government has also adopted a policy to augment sports infrastructure for providing better opportunities to the sportspersons of Assam. 
“Under Chief Minister’s Samagra Gramya Unyan Yoja, our government will develop and modernize 500 playgrounds in Assam during 2017-18,” Sonowal said and also announced an amount of Rs. 15 lakhs from the CM’s Fund for the infrastructural development of the sport’s are.
Jorhat MP Kamakhya Prasad Tassa and local MLA Kushal Duwori, Mahmora MLA Jogen Mohan,  Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner rayan Konwar, Superintendent of Police Subodh Sonowal and District Development Commissioner Abhijit Baruah were present among others in the iuguration of the fil match.
