CMSS stages demonstration over death of Dalit scholar

Tinsukia, Jan, 23: The Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti (CMSS)’s Tinsukia District Committee today staged a demonstration over the death of Dalit scholar Rohit Vemulla.

The CMSS alleged that the ABVP, BJP, MHRD and University of Hyderabad administration have played a role in the death of Rohith. The ABVP had lodged a false complaint after a scuffle took place when the Ambedkar Student Association (ASA) did screening of film Muzzafargar Baaqi Hai. The interl inquiry initially did not found any evidence of violence and let off the students with a warning. But in the second report, it said that they attacked the ABVP leader.
