DHEMAJI, Feb 2: A commemorative souvenir on Dilip Kumar Saikia was released by Chief Minister Sabanda Sonowal recently.
Dilip Saikia’s contributions for the people of Dhemaji were discussed. “Dilip Kumar Saikia represented Dhemaji constituency for 20 years and he left no stone unturned for the development of the flood-affected constituency. He will be always remembered for his valuable contribution for the people of Dhemaji in particular and the State in general,” said Sonowal at a public meeting held in the Dhemaji Public Auditorium on Tuesday.
He spoke about the days when he was associated with Dilip Kumar Saikia in every occasion for the development of the people of Assam in all respects. A souvenir on him about his contribution and his association with the people of Dhemaji was published by the Asom Ga Parishad, Dhemaji district branch and was released by the Chief Minister. The souvenir has been
edited by Tularam Gogoi, former student leader, and the meeting was presided over by Arun Kumar Dihingia, president of the souvenir committee.
State Ministers ba Kumar Doley and Keshab Mahanta and MP of Lakhimpur Lok Sabha constituency Pradan Baruah were present in the meeting and spoke on the occasion.
