Commissioner of Barak Valley lays stress on maintaining rules during polls

SILCHAR: Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Commissioner of Barak Valley Anwar Uddin Choudhury visited Cachar district and took stock of the administrative affairs including law and order situation in making the ensuing polls on April 18 peaceful and successful.

During an interaction with the officials including Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri, SP Mughdhajyoti Dev Mahanta, ADC Rajib Roy, Election Officer Sudip Nath, the Commissioner of Barak Valley laid stress in maintaining the rules as laid by the ECI. He also added to say that in case of any emergency situation, he should be contacted immediately. He also shared his experiences with the team of officials in dealing with critical situations during election period. DDC Nabarun Bhattacharjee, Mridul Yadav IAS, Jessica roj Lalsim incharge MCC also attended the meeting.
