Committee against racial discrimition constituted

Shillong, April 5:  A monitoring committee (MC) has been constituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs for monitoring and redressal of issues and grievances relating to racial discrimition faced by the Northeast people residing in different parts of the country. The committee includes Satyendra Garg as chairman, Dr Ala Golmei, Secretary, Northeast Support Centre in New Delhi and Assistant professor of Law in Delhi University Dr Mizum Nyodu as members. The public has been informed that any person or group of persons or communities hailing from the Northeast who claim to be victims or have faced any act of racial abuse, racial atrocities, racial violence and racial discrimition in any part of the country may send their complaints, suggestions and grievances at ne.complaints@mha.gov.in, said the Deputy Secretary (NE-II) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (NE Division). This was stated in a press release.
