Complaint against deforestation at mbor-Doigrung Wildlife Sanctuary

Golaghat , Dec 1: One of the major biodiversity  spots in the State, the mbor - Doigrung Wildlife Sanctuary is now under the severe grip of deforestation. Recently in media reports the pathetic condition of this forest area was exposed. Deforestation in the mbor forest has been going on rampantly which threatens the biodiversity of the region. After these media reports, an organization called Sadou Asom Durniti Nibarak Prakriti Suraksha Samiti came forward and lodged a complaint at Golaghat Police Station. The organization has demanded immediate action against the nexus involved in deforestation and protection of the biodiversity of the area.
