Complaint against Jarir Barbhuiya for lampooning Prime Minister

Silchar, April 24: A complaint has been filed by a citizen of this town Rajesh Kumar Das with the Superintendent of Police Cachar against one Jarir Barbhuiya for lampooning and caricaturing President of India Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah and Mohan Bhagwat by uploading a very objectionable post in the social media like Facebook and WhatsApp. The person hails from Kalain area of Katigorah revenue circle in the district of Cachar.

As the post has been in circulation this afternoon in the social media, it has attracted wide condemnation in the responsible circles. Rajesh Kumar Das has also filed an FIR with the Silchar Sadar Thana which has been registered under section 294/507 IPC.
