Concern over rising cases of theft

MARGHERITA, August 19: Margherita Regiol Students’ Union today submitted a memorandum to Margherita Sub Divisiol Officer (Civil) over the rising cases of theft and dacoity at Margherita area for the last few days. Dipankar Buragohain and Bulbul Saikia, president and general secretary of Margherita Regiol Students’ Union respectively said that for the last few days thieves and dacoits have triggered terror at Margherita region but police have not taken any steps in this regard. “We appeal to Margherita administration to take strict action immediately against the thieves and dacoits,” they said.
