Condition of Agnes is critical but stable, says NEIGRIHMS

SHILLONG: Women rights and RTI activist Agnes Kharshiing who suffered grievous injuries in a murderous attack on November 8 at East Jaintia Hills district are “critical but stable at present”, authorities of the NEIGRIHMS said. However, hospital authorities also said that her “condition is dynamic and can change with time.” As per the latest assessment at 2 pm on Sunday, her blood pressure and pulse are within the normal range.

According to NEIGRIHMS when Kharshiing was brought to the hospital at around 6 pm on November 8, she had a head injury with chest trauma and extensive musculoskeletal injury.

CT scan report showed head injury and multiple fractured ribs on the left side. Meanwhile, her colleague Amita Sangma is fully conscious and able to converse normally. The patient is on absolute bed rest and under observation of surgery doctors,” NEIGRIHMS authorities said on Sunday evening.
