Conflict over student union polls in Golaghat Commerce College

Golaghat, Aug 22: A conflict between two groups of girls of Golaghat Commerce College created sensation in Golaghat district on Saturday.

The two groups of girls of the hostel quarreled over an issue regarding the student union election. One girl, Gayatri Bhattacharjee of the sixth semester, was injured and admitted at Golaghat Kushal Konwar Hospital.

Sources said that two groups of supporters of NSUI and AASU were campaigning in the girls’ hostel. The students alleged that the warden of the hostel was in support of NSUI, and the warden seized all mobile phones from the girls at night so that they could not do any sort of campaigning over the phone. Filly, the two groups of girls started quarreling among themselves.
