Congress activists burn Rajen Gohain's effigy

DEMOW, September 14: Activists of Thowra Block Congress, Mahila Congress and Youth Congress burnt the effigy of Minister of State for Railways, Rajen Gohain on Wednesday afternoon in Demow Chariali at NH-37 road in protest against increase of railway fare and price rise of essential commodities.

The Congress activists shouted various slogans against the ruling Central and State governments. Under the leadership of Congress leaders Manuranjan Konwar and Abdus Ali, the protest was carried out.
