Congress alleges that Narendra Modi violates Model Code of Conduct

Guwahati: The Congress alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a political speech after casting his vote at Ahmedabad and will move to the Election Commission of India to register a complaint.

A delegation of Congress will move to the ECI office after the poll gets over saying that the Prime Minister has violated the Model Code of Conduct.

Narendra Modi cast his vote at Ahmedabad in Gujarat and comes in an open jeep. A huge crowd gathered outside the booth on both the sides of the road. He waved at the huge crowd who was standing in a queue to cast their vote.

BJP President Amit Shah welcomed Modi and greeted him towards the poll booth. While Shah greeted the Prime Minister, Modi picked up Shah's granddaughter and waved at the crowd that broke into loud cheers and chants of Modi, Modi.

Casting his vote, Narendra Modi said, "The voter ID is much more powerful than the IED of terrorists." Modi cast his vote at Nishan High School in the Ranip area of Gujarat's Ahmedabad city. He has come in an open jeep in the morning and exercised his franchise as an Indian citizen.

Modi in a tweet in this morning said, "I urge all those who are voting in today's phase of Lok Sabha polls to do so in record numbers. Your vote is precious and will shape the direction our nation takes in the years to come."

He also said that Indian democracy presents an example before the world adding that by voting, he feels the same sense of purity that one gets after taking bath at the Kumbh Mela.
