Congress gears up for assembly polls in west Karbi Anglong

Donkamokam, November 9: The Congress, in order to win the 2016 assembly polls, has begun adopting different strategies to woo voters.

A programme was held on Monday at the Rongkhang Block Congress Committee office at Donkamokam in west Karbi Anglong.  The coorditor of 20th Boithalangso LA, Ashim Kr Das, under the banner Booth Micro Magement Programme (BMMP) for voters, attended as resource person.  He asked the Congress workers to identify the general voters, workers and grassroots leaders.  For every hundred voters, he asked them to divide into three categories of 33 women voters, 33 youths and 34 senior citizens.

Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang who attended the programme as chief guest said that the legislative assembly polls would be like a semi-fil match before the KAAC polls. “If we win the assembly polls then the council election will be easy for us,” he said.

Presided over by EM MS Timung, the programme was also attended by MLA Dr MS Rongpi, EM Rupsing Teron, KADCC secretary Horendra Kro Nihang and many supporters.
