Dibrugarh, March 7: The members of Dibrugarh district committee of Assam Pradesh Congress took out a rally on Wednesday in protest against the alleged unwarranted intervention of the MP and MLAs in the panchayats of the district there were in the jurisdiction of the Congress. The protestors, carrying placards in their hands, started their rally from Dibrugarh Rajiv Bhavan and staged a protest in front of the DC office demanding an immediate end to such interferences. Led by district president, Etuwa Munda, the protesters expressed their anger while accusing that the MP and MLAs were impeding the smooth functioning of the said panchayats by meddling in their affairs. Later, the members submitted a memorandum to this effect to the DC.
