Congress ridicules Cabinet decision to release PDS bill

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

Itagar, April 27: Reacting to the state cabinet’s decision to release PDS bills, the Aruchal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has mocked Chief Minister Kalikho Pul of never sticking to his words alleging that he himself in the past was against it. Also alleging the BJP of being silent over the issue, the party while stating that leader of opposition Tamio Taga’s wife is a PDS contractor and would be getting a large chunk of money once the bill is cleared, the APCC further urged the governor to react on the case.

“We urged the governor not to be a mere spectator to the various fincial scandals going on as lots of complaints are pouring in from the public against the present state government. Why is he not behaving as he did five months back against the Congress government? This clearly indicates his doubtful integrity and soft corner towards BJP and PPA,” APCC general secretary Minkir Lollen said in a statement today.

“The people of Aruchal Pradesh will judge who are corrupted and also judge the attitude of Raj Bhawan for being a mute spectator to the entire activities of the present government,” added Lollen.

Asking Pul as to why he is not taking up the matter for early investigation of the PDS scam lying pending in the Gauhati High Court, the APCC added that all the accused in the scam should be punished as per law of the land.
