Congress ticket aspirant ready for polls

SHILLONG, Oct 9: WHD Syngkon, a Congress ticket aspirant from Shillong North constituency, expressed his confidence of winning the 2018 Assembly election, if chosen by the party. Syngkon was chosen by the North Shillong Block Congress Committee as its candidate soon after its current MLA and Health Minister Roshan Warjri announced her decision not to contest the upcoming polls during a meeting held at her residence recently. Syngkon, who is also the headman of Mawkhar, told The Sentinel, “I’m very confident of winning the election, if chosen as the party candidate. And I urge the public to give me a chance to be a servant to them and not as a master of the constituency.” He urged the people of the constituency to give him a chance in the upcoming election to bring about change.
