Consignment of Spaxmo-Proxyvon capsules seized

Bokajan, July 11: The 155 Bn CRPF seized a consignment of the banned drug Spaxmo-Proxyvon and Nitrosun 10 tablets from a Dimapur-bound night super here on Saturday morning.

The security personnel manning the regular check post, intercepted the bus (NL 07B 0199) and recovered 38,000 Spaxmo-Proxyvon capsules and 1,000 Nitrosun 10 tablets concealed in some cartons with the tag of ‘Flyking Courier Service’. No arrest has been made till the filing of this report. However, the police have detained two drivers and the helper boy of the vehicle. A general case has been registered under the NDPS Act and investigation is on.

In another incident, the student organization AASU detected a cloth store selling liquor illegally in the Lahorijan area of Bokajan subdivision. Later, the police seized 40 cases of IMFL (Indian Made Foreign Liquor) from the uuthorized shop. The shopkeeper Mukesh Jaiswal was arrested and later released on bail under section 53 Assam Excise Act 1910. The seized assignment also included Aruchal Pradesh sale liquor which gives a clear indication of the prevailing substantial revenue loss to the State exchequer. This shop was allegedly operating under the patroge of the Khatkhati Police and the excise officials.
