Counter-Insurgency Ops: Four Soldiers Wounded at Kashmir Border

Srinagar: In yet another attempt to fuel the terrorized atmosphere of Kashmir, a group of militants tried to infiltrate from Pakistan towards India. The exchange of gunshots between the Indian Army soldiers and the infiltrating militants resulted in four soldiers being injured.

The injured soldiers have been shifted to an army hospital.

According to reports, the fighting erupted when the infiltrators tried to enter the Nowgam sector in North Kashmir 's Kupwara district.

The army officials deployed there had noticed some suspicious movements at around 4.20 AM near the LoC.

"The infiltration bid was supported by the Pakistan Army which provided cover fire to the terrorists. The operation is going on. Reinforcements have been rushed to the area," a police officer said.
