Counting of votes in BTC polls in Bhergaon subdivision

MANGALDAI, March 10: Counting of votes in the BTC polls for 10 Council Legislative Assembly constituencies in Udalguri district was done in the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri in the last two polls. But this time, however, the State Election Commission with a view to make the counting process more transparent has decided to hold counting in the office of the Subdivisiol Officer at Bhergaon besides the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Udalguri.

State Election Commissioner Harendra th Bora vide an notification issued recently decided to hold the counting for five council legislative assembly constituencies in Bhergaon Civil Subdivision. These constituencies are 31 Khairabari (ST), 32 Bhergaon (ST), 33 Nonoi Serfang (Non ST), 34 Khalingdwar (ST) and 35 Mudoibari (open for all).

On the other hand, the counting for 36 Harisinga (ST), 37 Dhansiri (ST), 38 Bhairabkunda (ST), 39 Pachnoi Serfang (Non ST) and 40 Rowta (ST) Council legislative assembly constituencies will be held in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Udalguri
