CPI (M) protests price hike

Doomdooma, May 9: The Communist Party of India (Marxist), Tinsukia District Committee, staged picketing in front of the Circle Office (CO), Doomdooma Revenue Circle located at Rupaisiding on Tuesday in protest against hike in prices of petrol, diesel and essential commodities and against the government’s move to hand over historical monuments of Assam to private parties under ‘Adopt a Heritage’  scheme.

 It also vehemently opposed the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 of the Central Government. Later, secretary, CPI (M) of Tinsukia District Committee, Drono Charingia Phukan handed over a memorandum to Circle Officer, Doomdooma Revenue Circle for submission to the Prime Minister.
