CRO-AP discusses consumer rights,  recruitment issues with Rijiju

NEW DELHI, July 9: Consumer Rights Organization - Arunachal Pradesh State Unit (CRO-AP) President Achu Bagang met Minster of State for Home affairs Kiren Rijiju in his office, New Delhi on Monday.

Speaking to this daily over telephone CRO-AP President Achu Bagang said that the issues discussed during the day were on consumers’ rights, railway staff recruitment from the state, permanent director for the NIT and Vice-Chancellor of the lone Rajiv Gandhi University, as ell as stipends of the students. “The tenure of the present Vice-Chancellor is going to be over and I have requested the MoS to look into the matter as soon as possible for the betterment of the students and the institute,” he said.

He requested for adequate recruitment of Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel from the state so that the unemployed youths of the State are benefitted.

Rijiju assured to look into the matter. He further asked the CRO-AP unit to work as a mediator between the government and the people. “Such organization should work to remove misunderstanding among the people and government should bring the ground reality to the masses, Rijiju added.”

Whenever there is any kind of policy programme implemented in the state, people should not be misguided with wrong information on it. Most of the times policies take time to be enacted but a few vested organizations make issue out of it.

An organization like CRO should look into the ground reality and disseminate the correct information to the people, Rijiju advised.

Appreciating the approach of CRO-AP Rijiju promised to look on the matter of railway staff recruitment from the state, permanent director for the NIT and Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University, stipends of the students.

He also assured to help at the central level if approached by the CRO-AP unit in days to come.
