Cross-bred goat exhibition held

ZIRA, June 11: Under the tiol Agricultural Vikash Yojo, the Assam Agricultural University of Jorhat and the NGO Fehujali organized a cross-bred goat exhibition-cum-competition at Nirmoliya Gaon of zira recently. Iugurating the exhibition, former minister Dr Hemoprova Saikia praised the efforts of Dr Jagdish Barman of zira Veteriry department for helping the unemployed and poor people of zira. In this unique exhibition, 250 goat farmers took part. Dr Abdus Saleh, chief of the Barnihat Government Goat Research Centre, Dr Satya Dutta Choudhuri, chief mager of the Government Goat Farm at Chalanijan, Dr Jadish Barman of zira Veteriry department and Dr Rofikul Islam of  Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Sivasagar were present in the programme.
