CS to hold meeting on ST status to six communities

GUWAHATI, Sept 16: With a view to discuss the issue of granting ST (Plain) status to six communities of the State, mely, Moran, Matak, Koch Rajbongshi, Chutia, Adivasi/ Tea Tribes and Tai Ahom, a meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary Vinod Kumar Pipersenia on September 19 next. The meeting will be held with the leaders of the concerned communities and Departments on September 19 next in the Conference Hall at 3rd Floor, Assam Secretariat, Dispur at 11 a.m.
