CSWO slams government over amended Act

SHILLONG, Nov 20: The Civil Society Women Organisation (CSWO) today said that the recent amendment Prevention of Disqualification (Members of Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya) (Amendment) Act, 1972 should be treated as ‘null and void’. “The amendments were made not by referring to the origil gazette but by referring to print on plain paper and not termed as official document,” Kharshiing said.
