Cultural centre iugurated at Jatinga

Haflong, July 5: Chief Executive Member, NC Hills Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa iugurated the newly-constructed cultural centre constructed under the One-time Special Assistance (OTSA), a Central Government scheme, in presence of chairperson Ranu Langthasa, Executive Members Flaming Rupsy Shyla, Alam Jeme, S T Jem Hrangkhol and Ngamrothang Hmar, MAC on Tuesday. With the iuguration of this cultural centre at Jatinga, a long cherished dream of Jatinga people had been fulfilled, Gorlosa said. He also said this centre would serve the purpose of fostering the cultural activities at Jatinga to a great extent.

In this connection, a well-attended meeting was held in the premises of the newly-constructed cultural centre at Jatinga. CEM Gorlosa also disclosed that there would be a Jatinga Bird Festival soon for which a committee had to be formed involving the people of Jatinga village. He hoped that the Jatinga Bird festival would be a grand success.  This was followed by the distribution of dustbins and CGI sheets by the distinguished guests to the people of Jatinga.
