Dacoit arrested

Silchar, June 16: Abdul Jalil (45), a resident of Bedam Basti near Ghantagram, under Lakhipur PS, has been arrested from Diglang village under Jirighat PS on Thursday at around 10 in the morning by officer-in-charge Inspector Anwar Hussain Choudhury, Lakhipur PS. He was interrogated by police in the recently committed dacoity at Milon Roy’s house. This notorious dacoit was earlier arrested from Juganj Hills by Lakhipur PS. He was absconding since 2002. Abdul Jalil was produced before the sub divisional judicial magistrate, Lakhipur which sent him to Silchar Central Jail.
