Daffodils School shines in tiol science competition

SILCHAR, April 22: Daffodils School of Silchar has emerged as runners up in the tiol Level Fevicol Science Project Challenge held in Mumbai from April 19 to April 21. The school team was represented by Daisy Pathak, Subhadeep Purkayastha and Ruma Akhtar, all students of Class X. Kabita Pathak, teacher of mathematics, led the team of students. It is remarkable that Daffodils School was the only institution selected from the entire eastern India and one of the six schools in the country that qualified to participate in the grand file of senior category.

Though in overall considerations, Daffodils has been declared runners up, in the section of project idea and craft, the school has been declared to top the merit list. The judges of the competition were experts including a former scientist of Bhaba Atomic Energy who highly appreciated the Daffodils team for their sterling performance and presentation. The success of the team in an all India level competition has brought cheers for the teachers and students as well as guardians and parents. Kabita Pathak said this has brought laurels to the school and will go a long way to inspire both teachers and students to prepare themselves for such competitions to keep aloft the reputation of Daffodils.
