GUWAHATI, Feb 10: Both state BJP president Ranjit Dass and his imagition are working overtime to make the party organizatiolly more than fit for winning the forthcoming panchayat poll, going it alone.

Dass had a hectic schedule in January this year, so is February. While January 29 was marked by the holding of the executive meetings of as many as 38 party districts, February 5 has the distinction of holding of the executive meetings of as many as 300 block mandals of the party. On February 11, the party is going to hold the ‘samarpan divas’ on the occasion of the death anniversary of Dindayal Upadhay in every booth committee of the party in the State.

The party is working hard to make the people of the State aware of the schemes of the governments at the Centre and in the State so as to make their benefits reach the target beneficiaries. Following a directive from Dass, an observer is appointed against five booth committees to see the progress of organizatiol works and government schemes. Dass himself is not sitting tight. He is visiting various district committees of the party. From February 15 to 23, he is going to visit Hojai, Mangaldai, Morigaon, gaon, Kaliabor, Golaghat, Jorhat, Baithalangshu, Diphu, etc.

Meanwhile, in a statement issued to the press today, the State BJP criticized former Forest Minister Rakibul Hussain for his recent outbursts against the BJP in the State Assembly. Hussain was on record initiating his speech in the House by saying ‘a table can’t be cleaned by rubbing it with a dirty cloth. It rather makes the table dirtier.’

The party said that the most corrupt minister in the Congress regime in the State is apprehensive of the tough stand taken by the Government in the State led by Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal.
