DC Hailakandi warns of stern action against unfair practices

Hailakandi, Feb 9: Following serious allegations of members of the public taking up schemes and projects without obtaining any formal work order, Hailakandi Deputy Commissioner Moloy Bora warned that stringent action would be initiated against anyone indulging in such unfair practices, stated a press release.

In an order issued on Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Bora said that stringent action including pel action would be initiated against any organization or member of the public taking up schemes and projects without any formal work order. “Apart from stern action, such individuals and organizations will also be blacklisted,” he added.

Several instances of unfair practices have come to the fore relating to MPLAD, MLALAD, MSDP, Untied Fund and PMGSY schemes. The Deputy Commissioner further cautioned the implementing agencies concerned that they would be hauled up as being ‘collaborators’ for such unfair practices and action would be initiated against them under the provisions of Assam Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Magement Act, 2005.
