Deceiving people is Congress culture: Gorias

GUWAHATI, January 10: The Sadou Asom Goria Yuba Chatra Parishad (SAGYCP) pooh–poohed the ’Pratara Bhirodhi Divas’ observed by the Congress in Guwahati today, and said that all throughout their rule in Assam the Congress ’deceived’ the indigenous Muslim of the state.

In a statement issued to the Press today, SAGYCP vice president Ajijur Rahman said: “It’s laughable that the Congress is holding pratara divas now. Deceiving people is Congress hallmark. All throughout Congress rule in the state, the Congress deceived the indigenous Muslims of Assam. In state corporations and boards the successive Congress government never made any indigenous Muslims (Gorias) as heads. When Anjan Dutta was the Assam  Transport Minister, he was on record setting up a restaurant – Alfresco – in the Ajan Pir Garden at Muchkhowa in Guwahati. Now such a party is holding pratara divas in Assam!”
