ITANAGAR: A consultative meeting in connection with “in principle” approval of national highway (NH) from Daporijo (Upper Subansiri) to Dollungmukh (Lower Subansiri, now Kamle district) via Dumporijo connecting National Highway (NH)-15 at Ananda Bagan (125 km) was held in a city hotel here on Saturday.

It was resolved that “no compensation will be claimed” from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) like that of the TAH (Trans-Arunachal Highway) with the house endorsing the ZTAHC (Ziro-Tai- Anando Bagan Highway Committee) for further followup action. The house further endorsed technical consultant for selection of alignment as per techno-economic viability with shortest feasible way. The house also seriously viewed the ‘deplorable’ condition of the road to Upper Subansiri district.

The meeting, organized by Core Committee, ZTAHC, was attended by MLAs Tanga Byaling (Nacho), Dikto Yekar (Daporijo), Paknga Bage (Dumporijo), Kardo Nyikyor (Likabali) and Tamar Murtem (Raga), who are also advisory members of ZTAHC, and representatives from Durpai, Dollungmukh and other CBOs, according to a press release here.
