Delhi Girl Commits Suicide on being Humiliated by Ex-boyfriend

A 21-year-old Delhi student commits suicide after a heated argument with two young men who abused her family members as well. The Delhi girl committed suicide at her home in Burari, Delhi.

This has also been stated by her family members to the police that the girl was in a relationship with one of the youths but later broke up with him and following this, the young man had started harassing her. Not only her, the young man harassed her family members as well and this pushed the girl into depression.

It all took place on Sunday morning when one of the youths threw a stone at her house and this made the girl go out of her home to stop him from doing so. This followed by a minor scuffle between them and then the younger man and his brother allegedly attack her with a blade. At this, the family members of the girl called for police. The deceased girl’s brother Yogesh Sharma stated, "The cops were called. They took the youths and my sister to the police station...they were allowed to leave later.”

The girl on reaching home from the police station was found really upset about the whole incident and also felt humiliated at the attitude showed by the police. Later that day, her body was found hanging in her sister-in-law’s room.

Stating the matter, DCP Nupur Prasad said, “We are probing into the allegations of the family members against the suspects and the policemen.”
