Demonetized notes recovered

JOYSAGAR, Feb 9: Dao Division of Indian Army recovered demonetized Rs 500 notes amounting to about Rs 5 lakh from two persons during routine checking at Sori- Simaluguri area of Sivasagar district on Wednesday night.

The persons were identified as Jashbir Singh and Dharmindra Pradhan of Golaghat district. Army and Assam Police officials are interrogating them for more information, sources revealed.
