Deplorable Condition of Road Connecting Demow Chariali Irks People in Sivasagar

DEMOW: The road which connects Demow Chariali to Kharahat Railway Crossing is in a pathetic condition. After a heavy shower, due to mud and the dilapidated condition of the road, it becomes difficult for pedestrians to walk on the road. The road is a busy road as schools, colleges, Demow Police Station, Demow Development Block, Demow Circle Office, Demow Electrical Subdivision Office, Demow Block Elementary Office and Demow Handball Club are located in the area. Due to the poor condition of the road, students, office goers and people in general have to face a lot of inconvenience. The local organizations of Demow had staged protests to demand repair of the road, but in vain. The people of the area have now urged the local MLA to repair the Demow Chariali to Kharahat Railway Crossing road without delay.
