Deputy Commissioner Dilip Kr. Das Declared Dry Day on October 19

KALAIGAON: Dilip Kr. Das, Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri, has declared closure of liquor shops in Udalguri on October 19 under section 52 (1) for the preservation of public peace in view of the celebration of Bijaya Dashami. Further, Das asked the country spirit shops, IMFL shops, wholesalers, warehouses, bars, and clubs to also close down on that day. He said that strict action would be taken against sale or consumption of liquor in any ON and OFF licensed premises under relevant excise laws.
