Deputy Commissioner Phek, Sachin Jaiswal informs verification panel on ‘damage inclusion’ has been set up

PFUTSERO-PHEK DOUBLE-LANING PROJECT

KOHIMA: The Deputy Commissioner Phek, Sachin Jaiswal in a notification informed that a committee had been set up for verification of the numerous complaints received from various individuals and groups by the office with regard to the non-inclusion of damages for acquiring buildings, plantations, fisheries and other structures affected during the construction of the double-laning of the Pfutsero-Phek road, stated a release.

Engineer Nmang Sepong Chang, SDO (C) Phek is the convenor while the committee members are Dr Diana Patton, SDO (C) Pfutsero; engineer Abhija Khing, Executive Engineer PWD (Roads and Bridges) Phek; Vithwel, EAC (Development) Phek; Manoj Kumar, NHIDCL; consultant NHIDCL; and other members to be opted by the convenor in consultation with the Deputy Commissioner Phek.

The ‘Verification Committee’ will undertake spot verification of all such claims for non-inclusion of damages. Compensation for acquiring the buildings, plantations, fisheries and other structures will be disbursed on the following locations and dates: Pholami – June 3 (Monday); Upper Khomi and Middle Khomi — June 4 (Tuesday); Losami — June 5 (Wednesday); and Phek as well as Chosaba — June 6 (Thursday), stated a release.
