Dhaligaon AAMSU convention begins

Bongaigaon, Dec 26: The third annual convention of All Minorities Students’ Union, Dhaligaon branch started on Saturday with a two-day long programme at Barpathar High School premises of Chirang district.

The programme started with flag hoisting by Saikul Islam, president of Dhaligaon AAMSU which was followed by tribute paying to the martyrs by Zahangir Alam, education secretary, Dhaligaon AMSU.  The delegate session started in the evening where Rezaul Karim Sarkar, general secretary, AAMSU, and many others participated.

Deraz Ali, secretary, reception committee, said that on Sunday a cultural procession would be taken out. “After that the newly-formed Bongaigaon district committee of AAMSU will take oath here. Rezaul Karim Sarkar will conduct the oath-taking program. The main attraction of the convention is the open meeting where Abdur Rahim Ahmed, president of AAMSU, will be present as chief guest,” he said.
