Dhansiri Subdivision Administration reviews poll preparation ahead of Lok Sabha Election

Sarupathar: With the election schedule announced, the administration of Dhansiri Subdivision got on to the job of making foolproof arrangements for ensuring free and fair polls. The administration of Dhansiri Subdivision including Dr P Uday Praveen, SDO(c), Dr Sonashree Brahma, Election officer, Pranjit Kr Deb, Border Magistrate of Dhansiri Subdivision with some prominent senior citizens, media personnel, and political parties has conducted a review of poll preparedness recently and inaugurated the Dhansiri election District theme song and mascot by Dr P. Uday Praveen, SDO(c) of Dhansiri Subdivision in the conference hall of the office of Subdivisional officer at Sarupathar.

On the other hand, the awareness on EVM vvpat also been organized among all the present members on the meeting at SDO office and also organized among the public of Dhansiri Subdivision.

Meanwhile, the administration of Dhansiri Subdivision has strickly order to remove the hoardings and banners put up by different political parties across the Subdivision immediately and also urged the people of Dhansiri Subdivision if anybody find any posters or banners of any political nature than the particular could complain to the administration of Dhansiri Subdivision immediately.

Moreover while speaking to "The Sentinel Digital" the Subdivisional officer civil of Dhansiri Subdivision said there will be 301 polling booths in all the Dhansiri Subdivision. On the other hand, the administration of Dhansiri Subdivision has also stated all the necessary facilities including ramps for the disabled, drinking water and power supply will be ensured at the polling booths. The Lok Sabha and assembly elections in the Dhansiri Subdivision of 94-Sarupathar under 11-Koliabor constituency will be held in the first phase on April 11. The filing of nominations dates yet not published to the media personally.

According to the sources, there will be 301 polling stations in all the Dhansiri Subdivision and the total number of electorates are 247916 among them 127011 are male and 120905 are female. However, there will be total 1360 State government employee in the election functionaries among them eight zonal officers, 28 sector officer, 301 presiding officers, 903 polling officers and 120 officers will be in reserve in the Lok Sabha election at Dhansiri Subdivision of 94- Sarupathar under 11- Koliabor constituency.
