Dibrugarh Municipal Board workers threaten stir

A Correspondent

Dibrugarh: The members of Harijan Mazdoor Union of the Dibrugarh Municipal Board (DMB) wrote to the chairperson of DMB on Friday, saying that they would resume a series of mild trade union actions from Saturday in front of the residences of the ward members of Dibrugarh Municipality on account of non-fulfilment of their demands. In a clear sign of vexation over DMB for failing to solve the problem of its safai workers and instead prioritizing other recruitments over it, the members of the organization warned that if their demands were not met even after the mild protests, they would step up the intensity of their actions by resorting to continuous strike from March 25 under the provisions of the Trade Union Act, 1947.
