A walk-in interview for selection and filling up of 02 Posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in two different NER-Twinning Projects sponsored byDepartment of Biotechnology, Govt. of India (DBT) is scheduled on 09th October 2018 (Tuesday) at 10:30 AM. The details of the eligibility criteria etc. are as follows:

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Title of the Project: Diversity Assessment, in-vitro propagation and DNA barcoding of Ferns and Fern-allies of Assam.Duration: 03 Years

Eligibility:

a) M.Sc. in Life Sciences / M.Sc. in Botany

b) NET qualified candidates will get preference.

c) Desirable experience: Candidate having experience in techniques like DNA Extraction, PCR, Sequence Analysis etc. will get preference.

2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Title of the Project: Drug Discovery approaches for the effective control of Tuberculosis -Target based virtual screening and whole cell screening of medicinal plants.

Eligibility:

a) M.Sc. in Life Sciences / M.Sc. in Bioinformatics

) NET qualified candidates will get preference.

c) Desirable experience: Candidate having experience in Computer Aided Drug Designing tools, Molecular Docking, MD Simulations etc. will get preference.Fellowship:

a. For Candidates with NET: Rs. 25000/- + HRA @ 10 % per month, for first 2 years, which may be enhanced to Rs 28000/- + HRA @ 10 % in the 3rd Year depending on the performance.

b. For Candidates without NET: Rs. 12000/- + HRA @ 10 % per month, for first 2 years, which may be enhanced to Rs 14000/- + HRA @ 10 % in the 3rd Year depending on the performance.

The posts are on a purely temporary basis and are coterminous with the project.

How to apply: Eligible candidates seeking to appear in the walk-in interview must report at theDepartment of Life Sciences, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh, by 10:00 AM on 09th October, 2018 (Tuesday) along with photocopies of all academic testimonials and complete Biodata.

They must also bring the original documents for verification. No allowance will be paid to the candidate for attending the interview.
