DIGBOI, March 16: Digboi Refinery being the country’s oldest operating refinery, received the Sreshtha Suraksha Puraskar, 2014 under manufacturing sector category for the year 2014. The award was presented by Bandaru Dattatreya, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Labour and Employment, at a function organized in Delhi recently . SPS Jolly, ED (HS&E), RHQ and Digboi Refinery team, HL Arya, GM (HS&E), Jibanta Borgohain, DGM (HS&E) and S. Senkumar, SM (F&S) received the award from the Minister in the presence of a distinguished gathering from manufacturing industries across the country. The two other units of Indian Oil Northern Region Pipelines and Bongaigaon Refinery received Prashansa Patra for their safety performance, sources said.
