Digital payment system launched in Itanagar

ITANAGAR: The Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex –cum- Administrator, Itanagar Municipal Council Prince Dhawan inaugurated the “Digital Payment System” under Itanagar Municipal Council (IMC) and also launched the Point Of Sale (POS) System for Civil Aviation which will promote easy access to the passengers on Tuesday last.

Inaugurating the digital payment system at IMC office, Prince stated that citizens can now make their payments for trading license, birth and death certificates etc through POS, BHIM Apps, BHIM QR and Aadhar Pay.

Prince hoped that with the introduction of cashless mode of transaction, the citizens would now be benefitted in terms of saving time for cash payment. “Now people can conduct transactions by sitting at home in a time bound target with due consultation to concerned departments," Prince added. Moreover, the system will also ensure transparency and accountability, stressed the DC. The DC further informed that trade license payments were also made through PoS and Aadhar enabled payment at IMC. Further, the Prince informed that the Capital Administration will also strive for promotion of this high tech practice to ensure transparent, timely and error free transactions even in payment of water and electricity charges by the capital dwellers.
