GUWAHATI: Rode on a solid unbeaten knock from Diptesh Saha (99no) Bhaben Dawka Memorial Cricket Coaching Centre (BDMCCC) of Tezpur thrashed Netaji Subash Sports Academy (NSSA) of Karimganj by eight wickets in the first game of the final round of the inaugural Assam Premier Club Championship held at the ACA stadium, Barsapara here today. Chasing 208 runs to win in 50 overs BDMCCC reached the target in 42.4 overs losing only two wickets.

Diptesh Saha, faced most of the balls (119 balls) in his team’s innings, remained not out on 99 and there were 11 boundaries and two over boundaries in his innings. He got good support from Sankuman Mahanta (44).

Earlier elected to bat, NSSA scored 207-9 in their 50 overs. Joy Singh (76, 107 balls, 4X10) and Al Aman Mazumdar (52, 81 balls, 4X2, 6X1) scored half centuries. Zunad Ansari (4-42) came out with best figure among the bowlers of winning team. Tomorrow’s match: BDMCCC vs Shakti Sangha, Mangaldoi.
