Directorate of Income Tax Investigation seizes Rs 34.9 lakh in Arunachal

Guwahati: Acting on a tip-off from the police, the Directorate of Income Tax Investigation, North East Region, seized an amount of Rs 34.90 lakh near Longding in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. A number of such seizures have taken place in different places of Arunachal Pradesh during the first week of deployment by Investigation Directorate. The Directorate is working in close coordination with Chief Electoral Officers of states, police, banks and Central Armed Police Forces, stated a PIB release.

Meanwhile, a police team on Wednesday seized an amount of Rs 6,08,300 at a check point here on Wednesday.
