Doomdooma, May 4: Following growing discontent among party workers with regard to distribution of MP’s Local Area Development Fund (MPLADF)  in three mandals under Doomdooma Legislative Assembly constituency, Pradan Baruah, Lok Sabha MP from Lakhimpur, expelled Mulendra Moran, MP’s Kakapather representative and relieved Binod Budhia and Rajen Koiri – the two other representatives of Doomdooma and Hapjan mandals respectively – of their duties on receiving allegations against them.
This was stated by Lakheswar Moran, president, Tinsukia district committee, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in a press meet held at Doomdooma Press Club on Thursday. Interestingly, some of the party workers belonging to Tea Garden areas under Hapjan and Kakapather mandals gharaoed the Tinsukia district president of the BJP Lakheswar Moran’s house on alleged non-distribution of fund in their areas.
Lakheswar Moran clarified in the press meet that MP’s fund were distributed solely on the basis of the list prepared by the MP himself for the year 2016-17 and for that he could not be held responsible. He further divulged that MP Pradan Baruah held a meeting of the  party workers at the Circuit House, Tinsukia on same day prior to the holding of the press meet and there he clearly stated  that the  funds would be distributed to the beneficiaries strictly  as per list prepared for 2016-17. As regards grievances of tea garden people, he assured  that he would look into their cases in next year’s (2017-18) MPLADF allocation. MP Baruah further declared in the same meeting that at the behest of the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, rupees 1.5 crore had been sanctioned for construction of  an auditorium in Doomdooma from the untied fund of the Tinsukia district  administration.
