District Administration appeal organisations to renounce 'Bandh' on October 23

Guwahati: The Kamrup Metro District Administration has asked all the essential service providers to continue their services on October 23 and to renounce the bandh call of different organizations tomorrow.

The Police Commissioner of Guwahati Pradip Ch Saloi assures that adequate security measures will be taken to ensure law and order situation in the district during the bandh.

The Police Commissioner Saloi and Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal asked the members of different business organizations to keep their establishments open on October 23, 2018.

It may also be mentioned that the police commissioner and deputy commissioner in a meeting held at Circuit House, Guwahati today appealed to different transport organizations, chambers of commerce to renounce the bandh call tomorrow and continue normal activities in the district on October 23, 2018.

The Deputy Commissioner also asked the transport organizations to continue their transport services during the bandh.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed the respective officers of various offices of Kamrup Metro District to keep their offices open on 23rd October and ensure 100% attendance of all official staffs.

The meeting was attended by Pulok Mahanta ,ADC , Nabadeep Pathak ,ADC , PP Bora ,ADC , Pradip Das , Secretary , Guwahati Transport Association , Bipul Kalita , Secretary Guwahati Metro Transport Association , Nirmal Jain , General Secretary , Kamrup Chamber of Commerce, Dwizen Sarmah , General Secretary , North East India Petroleum Dealer Association ( Assam Unit ) and other representatives of different organizations.

On the other hand, Nagaon Deputy Commissioner has directed to ensure attendance of all Government officials tomorrow.

Also, Flying squads have been formed by the Administration for surprise inspection in all the offices and Institutions in Nagaon.
