DMRC girder collapse injures seven

 Ghaziabad, April 23: Seven persons were injured and three vehicles damaged when a girder of Delhi Metro Rail Corp (DMRC) collapsed at the Mohan Nagar DMRC station construction site in Ghaziabad on Monday. The incident occurred at about 10 a.m. when the peak hour traffic on the road was dense. The steel girder erected for construction of a foot overbridge crashed suddenly on the Dilshad Garden-New Bus Adda corridor. Five of the injured were identified as auto driver Indrajeet, passenger Seema, bike driver Gulzar, Atul Gaurav and Raje Gautam. The identity of two others was not known. (IANS)
